My sister turned 30 a few days ago, so we rewatched this movie. One of my all time faves 🩷

I think she is so marvelous.
There was a story of her meeting a fan. The fan said something like “hi my name is Jenny.” And Jennifer said something like, “I was a Jenny once, and it was such a great time of my life.”
And it just resonated so beautifully to me. I had a shortened name at one point and it was such an amazing and love-filled time in my life and that love gave me so much confidence. And her sharing that with her fan just made me have flashbacks to that love.

I love that her face moves like a 50-something year old’s should.

I’m turning 30 in October and this is going to be the movie I watch that morning! I’ve been waiting since I was 8 years old to say I’m gonna be 30, flirty, and thriving 🥹

Ugh 13 going on 30 makes me cry even more now. I love how she got to breathe with this movie. She said that she used to feel so out of place because she was “quirky” and had to shove all that down because it wasn’t “sexy” how she had to give canned “adult” answers so it didn’t clash with Alias and she couldn’t be goofy and funny and it would tank her character . I’m so glad she knows it was so wrong.

That movie somehow gets better every time I watch it.

I like Jennifer Garner now, but when this movie came out, she was so overexposed, and pushing a cute image very hard. The commercials for her dancing in this movie were so annoying.

I might be able to watch it now and find it fun.
She did a really tremendous job in that role.
One of my all-time favorite memes.
