    1. I lost my dad last year and think often about this quote from Freud:

      “Although we know that after such a loss the acute state of mourning will subside, we also know we shall remain inconsolable and will never find a substitute. No matter what may fill the gap, even if it be filled completely, it nevertheless remains something else. And actually this is how it should be. It is the only way of perpetuating that love which we do not want to relinquish.”

      I love Emilia. I remember she did a podcast where she spoke about her dad passing away and how she dealt with the circumstances. It brought me to tears because the grief is immense, but so is the love.

      Elephants grieve. I think other animals grieve too. But we are able to express our grief through art, poetry, photography and a myriad of other ways. Humans are storytellers
