The idea that she wasn’t going to pay always felt absurd to me. Say what you will about Taylor, her track record shows she’s not afraid to dole out cash.

    3. Insane that he even has to say this. Taylor is not known for being stingy with her money. There was zero doubt she’d pay what she owes, and she likely tipped every officer on top of that. It was like one republican grifter suggesting otherwise.

Taylor is not perfect, but I have respect how she does the right thing and donates to Charity and tips generously, cause honestly you could tell alot about a person who recognizes someone for their services.

Well, there we have it. There were no public resources expended that she didn’t reimburse back to the city out of pocket and in full.

      Can we stop whining now?

What a dumb question. The world is burning but yes let’s talk more about the wedding.

    7. This will be spun into she supports the police, ACAB, MAGA Barbie.

I’ve heard enough over the last week about how Taylor is the worst person on Earth yet everything she does is the complete opposite of the delusions people have about her. Of course, New Yorkers weren’t bothered by the wedding or the streets being closed but everyone had something to say about that. Everyone had something to say about the usage of resources for the wedding forgetting that TnT would definitely have covered that already when it came to planning. You can have it verbalised that they did something that people thought they wouldn’t but I’m prepared for the insane amount of hate she’s still gonna get for this

I am not a big Taylor Swift fan but this past week has been insane.

Let me get this right: the problem is both she’s an example of an out of touch rich person who doles out money to get her way *and* she’s a spendthrift who believes she’s entitled to use New York City as her personal party ground without paying one dime back to the city for it?

TMZ and the daily fail have made sooo many worthless contributions to the already grim widespread commentary on the wedding of two private citizens 😭 ofc she was going to pay. why did they ever think otherwise and why were so many otherwise rational people quick to believe it

Taylor Swift always seems to do the right thing. I don’t know why anyone ever thought she was going to screw over the taxpayers of NYC.

Off topic but it’s refreshing to hear a politician actually answer a question without being vague or dodgy.

    14. This shouldn’t be news? Taylor ain’t Trump who’s known to not pay for these things.

    15. There are some legitimate criticism you can make when talking about Taylor Swift but she does seem to pay the people who work for her wayyyy above the average rate compared to other celebs at her level.

I used to have to book detail cops for my job on a regular basis, and the fact that this was ever a thing is insane.

      Yall…

No DUH she’s paying for the NYPD! It’s routine! The NYPD are used constantly for private things that involve public areas. There’s always contracts, permits, invoicing, etc… involved because it’s ROUTINE!!
