The children of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle met with their grandfather King Charles III and his wife, Queen Camilla, during a reunion on July 10, Buckingham Palace confirmed to NBC News.

The king and queen hosted grandchildren Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in addition to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, at Highgrove House, their private residence in Gloucestershire, England.

It marked the first time since 2022 that the king saw Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, in person. At the time, the prince and his family were in England for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, celebrating her unprecedented 70 years on the throne. However, they did not join her or the children of Prince William and Kate Middleton, Prince Louis — Princess Charlotte and Prince George — during the traditional flyover by the Royal Air Force.

A source revealed to NBC News in June that Meghan and Harry had made plans to travel from their Montecito, California, home to England to promote the 2027 Invictus Games, an international, multi-sport event for wounded and injured military personnel and veterans. Harry had also been slated to appear at a number of other charity events, the source said.

While the prince and Meghan Markle permanently stepped down from their duties as senior members of the British royal family in 2021, Harry has made efforts to repair the relationship with his father and other family members.

In September 2025, Harry reunited with his father for the first time after 19 months apart. The pair met up at King Charles’ Clarence House home in London and enjoyed a private tea together, Buckingham Palace officials confirmed.

The get-together followed a May 2025 interview with the BBC in which Harry said he had hoped to resolve the issues with his family.

“I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has. It would be nice to reconcile,” he said at the time.
