    1. Jon getting the crown would be incredibly symbolic as a Targaryen claims the north before he takes the south from the pretenders I can see jon being a northern mirror of aegon the conqueror.

    2. I don't think it's a given that Bran will be crowned over Jon if it was discovered that the boy is alive. Bran is disabled, and Westeros is very abilist. Jon was legitimazed by Robb, and it could be argued that he now ranks above his younger brothers.

    3. If Arya returns to Westeros why would she start in the Riverlands? Even if she did, if she departs the house of black and white a believer still, her own mother as Lady Stoneheart would be a abomination, sacrilege. Arya almost certainly wouldn't take the crown, regardless. Sansa being under the Baelish's thumb is still in the hands of the enemy, and Sansa knows that now, whether or not anyone else does. But Sansa remains there, playing Littlefinger's game. Sansa is acting as an agent of someone she knows betrayed her family and conspired to have her father killed, and is still doing so by choice. Sansa is a traitor to her family as I see it. Rickon would be 4 or 5 by this point in the story and have been raised by Osha and the Skagosi. Rickon might not even really remember his life as a Stark. Bran is inaccessible for the foreseeable future being trained by Bloodraven and Those That Sing the Song of Earth. Even though many of her children are in fact alive, Stoneheart still has little choice but Jon, assuming he also rises. Personally, I think a great way to wrap up Catalyn's story would be her being forced to obey Rob's wishes and crown Jon. A final guesture of begrudging acceptance from the woman who was awful to Jon all his life. A final act that could heal one wrong Catalyn had to her credit most of her life and give closure to her and Jon. Also, I am a fan of N+A=J so Jon is a trueborn son of Ned anyway.

    4. Robb accepting the crown was his greatest mistake.
      1) Since he became the King of Riverlands as well, he would've to defeat them but given their weakness and location, that's basically impossible.
      2) Robb would've to defeat everyone else – Stannis, Renly, Lannisters – who wanted to unite the Seven Kingdoms.
      3) Even if he barricaded just the North, his kingdom would get no help from the south (grain, prisoners for the Night's Watch…) and would be economically crushed.

    5. At the end of Winds Arya will indeed come across the Brotherhood, make herself with the crown and take it north with the intention to give it to the newly crowned king Jon. However, at the start of Dream Jon will have gone south to parley with the newly arrived Daenerys, while little by little Sansa will come into her own and gain the favor of the northern lords; Arya inadvertedly will have taken the crown, a symbol of respect, to the sister she used to hate.

    6. Only slightly related but I feel like Torrhens crown probably went in the iron throne pile, feels fitting if there’s a lump of used-to-be-crowns somewhere inside the throne

    7. No. you keep making this mistake. Jon Snow is not confirmed as Robb's successor. she witnesses the signing of the document, but Robb's choice is not yet revealed to the reader. but a whole blizzard is going to break loose when the will's contents reveal all.

what if Robb named Benjen, he fits better as a man of the north and a stark, if he were to pick someone from the wall to release, Benjen is the better deal. though, the problem is the same as the other starks, as the rest as he is lost, Jon is dead or dying, Bran and Rickon beyond reach and believed dead, like Arya and soon to be Sansa.

    8. I like the idea of lady stoneheart following Robb's will even if Cat wouldn't have. Showing up to demand jon takes the crown and potentially getting violent if he refuses.

    9. A bummer the show cut out so many of the crowns. And honestly, a bummer that Jaelic Blades hasn’t made any new crowns in over a decade, since they released Robert and Joffrey’s crowns waaaaay back in the day. I wish they’d cover the Targaryen crowns we’ve seen in House of the Dragon.

    10. Would she want to crown Arya? Cat never cared about that, all she wanted and still wants are to have her children back, alive. Being King led to Robb’s death, why would she want to risk that same fate for one of her, as far as she knows, only other surviving child?

    11. One overlooked detail is that Robb's will and the crown could point to different heirs, creating a legitimacy crisis instead of resolving one.

    12. I wonder if when truly faced with lordship over winterfell, if a Jon now free of his oath will truly "want it" or not. Maybe he won't even see his death as a valid reason to abandon his oath.
