Aubrey Plaza says actors gets so weird because everyone on set treats them like babies and remembers the time Nick Offerman told her she could get her own coffee instead of asking a production assistant to do it for her.

He’s so right. But I also understand that time is money on set, and the runners will be doing the coffee runs etc so that the actors aren’t wandering off and wasting time just when they’re about to start shooting agajn. But different if the coffee is right there of course.

I’m pushing 50 and Nick Offerman has been my role model for at least 15 years.

    3. I get that it’s humble to go and make your own coffee, but is it really that much of a bad thing if a PA does this for you when *they’ve* asked if you need anything?

It kinda makes me roll my eyes, ngl

When I was filming a pilot for a children’s show I remember one of the crew members saying to me how weird it felt that us performers spent so much time hanging out with them, eating with them, getting our own stuff, etc; Which really surprised me because to me we all spent so much time together on set so… why wouldn’t we? But we were also on a small set and at the time only had one real hang out spot.

I think the only thing I asked the production assistant to get for me was my water bottle a few times between takes because I couldn’t leave my spot between takes.
