5 years ago, Coca-Cola replaced sustainable reusable glass bottles with single-use plastic bottles in Samoa, a country that has no plastic recycling facilities. Samoan and Pacific Islander communities came together to call on Coca-Cola to bring back reusable packaging.

That’s so fucking dumb. Classic penny pinching fucking over smaller communities.

Also, Coca Cola tastes better from glass bottles anyway.

I love their response but, and hear me out here…, you don’t *need* any Coca-Cola product. None of us does. We are all free to opt out of buying any product to shut down any corporate decisions.

We’re so tired of corporations being excused from the liability of where their products end up

So I’m all for these people fighting back against coca cola but the Small Island Developing States need a rebrand.

That acronym is taken and it’s the saddest one.

i would recommend using oceanhero instead of google! it picks up a piece of plastic from the ocean with every search you make. also, you can buy a product from the organization 4ocean! their bracelet sales go towards funding their efforts to pick up trash from oceans.
