Pupils from St Gregory School in Sudbury were treated to a private screening of Disney’s new live-action Moana after a video they posted on social media caught the actor’s attention.
The school’s video promised students a trip to see the film if Mr Johnson commented on their post.
Not only did he reply, but he took things a step further by recording his own video and offering to hire out a cinema for them.

The screening took place at Vue Colchester on July 10, the film’s opening day.
The Colchester venue, which opened in May, was chosen for the event and welcomed pupils and their families at the special screening.

It marked the second treat for the group following a trip last week to London for a Moana event attended by Mr Johnson.
Tom Schofield, general manager at Vue Colchester, said: “It’s not every day we get a request to host an event as exciting as this from a Hollywood actor.

“All our staff were excited to see just how special Disney and Dwayne Johnson made the evening for the pupils and families of St Gregory School, and we were honoured they chose to host it at our brand new Colchester venue on the day the live action adaption of Moana hit our screens.”
