    1. build data centers in their literal back yards. that’s the only way they’ll learn.

    2. This isn’t new at all.

For at least a decade now the most popular schools in silicone valley among the tech crowd are the ones that staunchly limit the amount of screen time students get in the classroom. Billionaires have always known that what they’re pushing onto other children has major implications on their development and not only do they not have a problem with it, they’re doing it on purpose so they can make as much money as possible off those same children as they grown up.

Society as a whole needs to stop functioning like billionaires are not fully aware of the harm they cause.

    3. Yes that’s working out for Elon musk just fine… /s

      Zero estrangements there!

This is a common thing with the elites and their kids, even with the middle class I’ve read that parents from higher socioeconomic backgrounds are more likely to limit screen time for children (compared to the working class parents who work long hours and don’t have many childcare options).

It’s becoming a status symbol to raise ‘screen free’ kids. The next class divide could well be screen kids vs non screen kids. Of course these fucks profit enormously from that.

It’s actually so sad how the reality for most parents now is that their kid won’t eat without a screen, and not just while out at a restaurant but majority of the kids I know don’t have a single meal at home unless their screen is on for them. And these aren’t neglectful parents, these are kids of really attentive parents but it just feels unavoidable now? I know one family who has managed to raise their kids with no screens and honestly if I were to have kids I think I’d try my best to do it that way. It physically makes me feel disturbed seeing such young children zombified when they are watching the screen, they genuinely zone everything else out, and the absolute meltdowns when they can’t get the screen? It’s addiction. I’ve been reading accounts of parents online who have tried to wean kids off the screens and YOUNG children have threatened to kill their parents over it. It’s fucking terrifying.

Yesss. Wake up people. They don’t use the public schools they underfund – ebt programs, state benefits. They don’t eat the processed foods they allow extra chemicals into. They surround themselves with people who constantly praise them and allow themselves to be abused.

They live in their own world of puppets willing to be used so they can be on the winning side.
