      Regulation needs to catch up with technology. These type of glasses will probably be banned in a lot of places, especially places with sensitive information.

      I’m with her, really seems like a way to normalize surveillance by making it “cool.” I just picked up my rx glasses and there were huge signs everywhere about the Meta frames. Hard pass!

      I feel like these type of devices shouldn’t be allowed anywhere. Why are we okay with total strangers recording everything for god knows what purpose?

      We don’t need to record every moment of our lives, and we don’t need to share every moment of our lives. We all have cameras on our phones, we don’t need them on our faces, too.

      My life is better now that I practically never use Facebook and Instagram. I haven’t posted in 5+ years, and my life is the better for it.

      Tell Lorde to tell Kylie this 🙄. My eyes went so far in the back of my head when I saw her commercial for meta glasses.

      We have Lorde and then we have Kylie and Jennie like why are women of all people promoting and being brand ambassador of these creepy spy glasses. It feels so unsafe and you never know who is recording you 🤦🏻‍♀️

      I won some of these last year at work, around the time of my first kid. I thought “oh wow, I’d never buy these but they will be perfect for hands-free capturing moments of them!” And they were a few times but then and since I’ve seen the most unhinged comments about them here and, yeah, it’s absolutely curb me from ever wanting to put them on, Beyond just limited features, ultimately, And obviously not wearing sunglasses all/most of the time.

      I used to be a firm believer that being in a public space gives you no expectation of privacy but I have completely switched my stance on it over the years.

      You shouldn’t have to worry about the possibility that any one of your actions can be recorded, taken out of context, and released to the world. Frankly, our society is not mature or intelligent enough to handle the consequences of that power.
