Spider-Man fans aren’t safe from spoilers, even from Marvel bosses, as a major cameo has been leaked by Kevin Feige himself. The latest installment in the franchise, Brand New Day, is set to be released this month, with Tom Holland reprising the titular role.
Many fans will be expecting Easter eggs and surprises aplenty in the upcoming film, with rumours mounting that Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) might make an appearance.
First introduced in Black Widow, Pugh’s character has also been involved in Disney+ series Hawkeye and feature film Thunderbolts*.

And it now appears that this huge cameo has been confirmed by Feige during an appearance at Shanghai’s BiliBili World, where he was discussing Avengers: Doomsday.
He said: “If you’re a fan of Yelena, wait until Avengers: Doomsday; Yelena plays a big part in that. But if you don’t want to wait until then, you might see Yelena a little bit sooner in the movies.”
The only MCU film between now and Avengers: Doomsday on 18 December is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, hitting cinema screens on 29 July, so it seems likely this is the film Feige is referring to.
Brand New Day is set four years after the events of No Way Home, in which Peter Parker (Holland) is living in isolation after wiping his memory from his loved ones.
