Brian Austin Green’s perspective on romance was transformed by Megan Fox. Six years after their divorce, the ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ alum shared how the relationship changed his perspective when he pursued now-fiancée Sharna Burgess. “Until Sharna, my ex and I were together for almost 15 years,” Green reflected during an appearance on the I Do, Part 2 podcast July 12. “We were married for almost 10 years and I led with physical attraction.” As Green—dad to Kassius, 21, with ex Vanessa Marcil, as well as Noah, 13, Bodhi, 12, and Journey, 9, with Fox and Zane, 4, with Burgess—noted of his romance with Fox, which began in the mid-aughts, “I’d be physically attracted to somebody and then sort of build a relationship around that.” And since he and the ‘Dancing With the Stars’ alum, whom he met in 2020, started their relationship as friends first, it completely transformed the dynamic. “When you started from a place of a genuine connection with someone, then you’re not so concerned about whether they are truly into you or not,” he shared, “because you guys are already speaking to each other in a very transparent way. As long as he has finally found the one, that's okay. Leave the past marriage, it's done and finished. It has served its' purpose and you both learned from it. True love is far way beyond physical attraction. It's way deeper than that. Although physical attraction is part of true love, there is much more in true love.
