It’s official: Brinity won. The Love Island USA season 8 yearners Bryce Dettloff (known professionally as Bryce Alakai) and Trinity Tatum took home the $100k prize at the end of the July 12 finale, and I love to see it. Tons of fans have taken to social media to celebrate…as have the many celebrity pals that Bryce inexplicably seems to have. Yes, he’s an actor, and a model, and a DJ, and he lives in L.A., but how did Bryce become Instagram mutuals with everyone from Richard Madden to Paris Hilton? It’s time to investigate.

Huddy
Real name Cole Chase Hudson (and formerly LilHuddy), Huddy is a former Hype House member who’s made it clear that he’s Team Bryce since the season kicked off in June.
“Me and Bryce have been homies for a little while and, dude, he’s a star,” he told JoJo Siwa during an interview. “I love to watch him shine, man.”
Huddy also took to his own TikTok to root on Bryce, where he explained, “I’ve been friends with Bryce for the last six months. We met on a boat that he was DJing on in St. Barts…and immediately I thought, ‘This guy’s cool. He’s very relaxed’…and then we became friends.”
Well, that explains that!
Josh Beauchamp
The Canadian singer, dancer, and choreographer also counts Bryce as one of his friends…as does A-list choreographer Kyle Hanagami, apparently.
It seems like Kyle potentially introduced the two (since Josh and Kyle are friends from the dance world, and Bryce and Kyle share the same rep), but I’ll get to that in a bit.
Several Glee cast members
Yep, Bryce’s circle also includes several former Glee stars, including Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale, and Darren Criss.
Following Bryce’s victory, Chris took to Instagram to write, “I’ve been good friends with Bryce for over a decade so these last few weeks have been absolutely hysterical!”
And Kevin wrote, “Congratulations to Trinity and Bryce! Ready to welcome you back!”

Soon after, a video (originally posted by Josh Beauchamp) resurfaced of Bryce on his way to a private Elton John benefit concert back in October 2025 with a group that included Darren Criss.

Also included in that limo video was NSYNC alum JC and his manager, Eric Podwall, both of whom Bryce has been photographed with before. For instance, here they are at Elton John’s Academy Awards viewing party last March:

Seeing as Bryce is repped by Podwall Entertainment, this one makes perfect sense. Oh, and side note: Bryce’s connection to Eric could also possibly explain his tie to Paris Hilton…
