wow the way John Cena holds this conversation is incredible – he really challenges Pete and is incredibly thoughtful.

He has to be one of the more eloquently spoken and emotionally intelligent celebs we have out there. Or a great PR Team.

Pete wants to come off all sentimental and connected meanwhile he abandoned his gf and newborn baby cause it was inconvenient for him and his schedule.

    4. Cena always comes off really well in most interviews. Just seems like a solid thoughtful dude.

Icon! He seems like such a positive celeb and truly seems to enjoy being this genuine.

So sweet, but also why do John’s hands look so big at the end 😂

    7. John Cena really understands Make-A-Wish. I was a Wish kid and interned there for a summer. It is, without a doubt, hard emotional work and it’s ALL about hope.

John Cena is a real one for this and he comes off so grounded and real here. It’s clear he’s gotten some therapy or has done a ton of learning about grief and support and listening. He’s a gift to these kids and now I’m sobbing. Wishing him the best, what a kind heart.

    9. Seeing him interact with these kids too, he puts his heart into it and makes it a really special experience. It’s really touching

“talk about it”, “your circumstances are unique but you’re not alone” that’s a MAN right there. the emotional intelligence and eloquence is amazing

Not sure everyone needs a podcast, but John Cena is nice and I enjoyed hearing him speak about this.

John Cena is a very close friend with sex trafficker Vinnce McMahon. Epstein class is trash

I really had no opinion of John Cena prior to watching this, but wow, I’m impressed by what an emotionally mature and genuine person he is.

John Cena is the person a lot of us thought Dwayne Johnson was. Also because I feel like I have to, why is Pete Davidson talking to an empty chair

    15. i am so impressed with john cena

i’ve been in therapy since 1987 and everything about the way he interacts with PD is a masterclass in how to help people confront their demons and become their best selves

it’s a really beautiful thing to witness. knowing how to get people to open up but also how to sit in their space and not fill the silence is a skill that some folks take like 20 yrs of school to get to but he makes it effortless and you can see he is fully present

I’m not too familiar with John Cena but the more I learn about him the more I like. He’s incredibly thoughtful and insightful here.

He supports regimes (China and the U.S.) that have caused untold suffering to thousands of people. And he still supports Vince McMahon, who has literally trafficked women and wanted to make some of them his “sex slaves” through coercion.

    18. I never followed wrestling at all but I’ve always respected his work with Make a Wish and I love how seriously he takes it as a responsibility here. He clearly understands the mission and wants to use it to make sure the kids have the best possible experience. I really respect that, and hearing him speak so eloquently about it is powerful.

He earned the record of 650 wishes granted back in September of 2022. Is he still running up the tally, or is he no longer volunteering in this capacity due to focusing on film and TV instead of wrestling? No hate either way, I am just curious since I’ve seen this number repeated for the last four years.
