I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! will have a new home for the 2027 season.
Channel 10 announced two months ago that it would be “resting” the program to focus on other shows, and it left major questions about whether it would be revived down the line or if a rival network would snap it up.
That question has been answered, and the reality TV program will now be hosted by Channel 7.
The network is excited for a “new chapter” for one of the most “successful and talked-about franchises” on TV.
“The iconic series will bring its signature mix of adventure, humour and high-stakes challenges to Seven audiences for the first time, as an all-new cast of celebrities brave the elements, tackle unforgettable trials and compete for the coveted title of King or Queen of the Jungle,” Seven said in a statement on Wednesday.

It’s unclear whether Seven will keep Robert Irwin and Julia Morris as the show’s hosts or if internal or other talent will be parachuted in.
Media commentator Andrew Mercado told Yahoo Lifestyle that while it might sound like a silly move to dump someone like Robert from the pivotal role, the numbers always come first.

“[The networks] will be looking at cutting costs, and maybe Robert is too expensive,” he said.
“Nobody buys a show from another network and plans to spend more money on it.”
Angus Ross, the managing director for TV and streaming at Seven’s parent company, Southern Cross Media Group, is thrilled for audiences to see what they have planned for the program.
“This is a proven franchise with a passionate fan base and we look forward to bringing our own fresh energy and ambition to its next chapter,” he said.
ITV Studios Australia’s CEO and Managing Director, David Mott, added that this will be a “brand-new era for the Jungle”.
What does it mean for Channel 7 to be hosting I’m A Celebrity?
Andrew told Yahoo Lifestyle that a new network for a show like I’m A Celeb will likely mean a brand new batch of A-to-D-listers will be available.
“Let’s face it, Channel 10 had kind of run out of people from their own network, so a new network taking on the show would absolutely use it to promote their own celebrities,” he said.
Robert Irwin and Julia Morris won’t be filming I’m A Celeb later this year after Channel 10 ‘rested’ it.

It will likely be a few more months before we see who has been picked for the 2027 season, so watch this space.
While the new-look format could see some backlash if Robert and Julia are dumped as hosts, Andrew said the majority of viewers typically tune in for the celebrities.
Whoever did get the role or twin roles would have to have one main attribute: “comedy chops”.
“It’s really, really important that you have someone funny as the hosts,” the media commentator said.
“Unless you can find comedic hosts to do that show, you shouldn’t be doing it.”
