As we’re only a couple of weeks away from Spider-Man: Brand New Day finally releasing in cinemas, Tom Holland has just dropped a big clue about the film’s title. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the fourth film in Holland’s tenure as Peter Parker suggests a do-over for the protagonist after that Doctor Strange spell, with its star promising it’ll all come together in the final scenes.
Speaking as part of a new Spidey-focused documentary called Generations: The Evolution of Spider-Man, available on Disney+ in the US, Holland weighed in on the film’s title, saying that the title is guaranteed to make sense “in the last frame”.
“The Brand New Day of this movie – it isn’t the beginning, it’s in the last frame of this movie,” the actor said (via Twitter user SpiderManCD).

Holland’s cryptic comment is hardly the only mystery surrounding Brand New Day as Sadie Sink’s role continues being shrouded in secrecy.
Meanwhile, Brand New Day producer Amy Pascal has shared her hopes for a continuation of the friendly neighbour saga with a new trilogy, but insisted they take it “one movie at a time”.
“Ever since we’ve been making Spider-Man movies with Marvel and the MCU, it has opened up a wealth of opportunity for us,” she told SFX magazine. “Because in the comics, he does interact with all these characters. So that’s been a wonderful opportunity.

“I never want to be so presumptuous as to say anything is going to be a trilogy or more than one. That would be my dream, of course, but you never know,” she added. “Because the truth is that the rule that we set for ourselves is to take it one movie at a time. It’s important to us that you don’t have to see one movie to see the other movie.”
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is released in UK cinemas on 29 July and in US cinemas on 31 July.
