Sam Neill’s manager confirmed his death on July 13 was unrelated to his prior lymphoma diagnosis, with the Jurassic Park star having been declared cancer-free in April. His manager Philip Grenz confirmed to TMZ that Neill died of pneumonia. For Neill’s friends and loved ones, they suspected he would have spoken about his health battle the same light-hearted way he did about his cancer—like it was nothing more than a nuisance. As his friend and ‘Hunt for the Wilder People’ costar Rima Te Wiata told the New Zealand Herald, “I think he would be like, ‘For goodness sake, I got over my cancer. Pneumonia an infection of the lungs which can be fatal. Lungs 🫁 are sensitive organs of the body. Pneumonia causes the lungs' air sacs to fill up with fluid and pus. Thus restricting oxygen intake and that leads to respiratory failure. Doctors can do whatever it takes to save a person. But, as they say that, once the time has come for a person to leave this crazy "material world", then the time has come. I think in most cases like this, a person knows and accepts the transition peacefully. May his soul rest in peace. He completed his purpose here on earth.
I remember him in several movies like – The Hunter etc.
Tragic. He should have gotten a pneumonia vaccine. He’d still be alive.
