Country singer RaeLynn has just announced that she is filing for divorce from her husband Josh Davis after 10 years of marriage. According to People, the separation was filed on June 8, with the “God Made Girls” singer citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.
RaeLynn addressed her decision on Instagram on Tuesday. “After much thought and prayer, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” she wrote. “This has not been an easy decision. As a working mum, I am committed to giving my daughter the love, stability and support she will need while we navigate this next chapter together.” The singer thanked her family, friends and fans for their support, and asked for privacy going forward.

Racheal Lynn Woodward, professionally known as RaeLynn, was born May 4, 1994, in Baytown, Texas. Her dreams of a music career started when she was 15, when she began writing and singing country music, per Taste of Country.
In 2012, RaeLynn got her foot in the door by taking part in season two of The Voice, choosing Blake Shelton as her coach. She was eliminated in the quarter-finals.
After her stint on The Voice, RaeLynn signed a record deal with Republic Nashville. She released several singles, including the platinum-certified “God Made Girls” in 2014. Two years later, the singer signed a new record deal with Warner Bros Nashville and released her debut album WildHorse.
The 32-year-old is currently on tour in the US and joining fellow country star Luke Bryan’s tour as a special guest.

RaeLynn met financial adviser Josh Davis in church in 2012, when she was around 18 years old. “Obviously, I wasn’t focusing on Jesus that day – I was praying, like, ‘Who is that hottie over there? Hallelujah!’” RaeLynn told People in 2020.
The country singer slid into Davis’ DMs, and they later reconnected at a mutual friend’s wedding, per People. They dated on and off until they got engaged in 2015, and tied the knot in 2016. Her mentor from The Voice, Shelton, attended the wedding.
