I believe in personal redemption. A person can reflect on the actions of their younger self, and work towards rectifying their wrongs. But I also believe to done in earnest, it should be done away from the spotlight, without public recognition.
I don’t believe his sincerity in his new found “religion”.
The only thing he found were people gullible enough to believe him.
If you want to try to be a better person, sure go for it, there are definitely worse things to strive for BUT people that use religion as some sort of cop out to speed run the return of public trust should always be met with suspicion. If you see anyone on social media or in your personal life very suddenly turn to religion and start going on about it almost obsessively, chances are they did some bad shit and don’t want the smoke cause of it. They think their religion will somehow shield them or inherently absolve them which is not true
They all find Jesus when allegations start 🙄
I welcome this. Religious people have to accept them, otherwise their made up doesn’t make sense. A dilemma.
