    Hal Williams, ‘227’ and ‘Sanford and Son’ Star, Dead at 91

    Hal Williams, a fan favorite on ‘227’ and ‘Sanford and Son,’ has died. He was 91. His final interview happened just days before his death on a local TV station in his home state of Ohio as he geared up for a fan event. Hal’s final on-screen role came in 2025, when he appeared in multiple episodes of the CBS hit, ‘Matlock,’ with Kathy Bates.
