Today Show SCARE! Man Breaks Through Security to Threaten Craig Melvin
‘Today’ co-anchor Craig Melvin was targeted after an intruder reportedly rushed past security and approached Craig near his dressing room. This disorderly individual allegedly ‘lunged at him while yelling a racial slur’ according to NYPD. ET was told no one was hurt and police are continuing to investigate the case. Craig was noticeably absent from the ‘Today’ desk and Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer were forced to adjust to the absence live on air. While Craig rejoined the broadcast later on, the incident was not addressed.

I miss the old days from the 1990s were the only intruder was that girl (out in the crowd) who unzipped her sweater vest top. Live on air, as the camera was panning the crowd.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but because Jenna Bush is working at NBC, wouldn't she have secret service protection on top of the security already at NBC? I would think that they would have secret service protect the building because she is an employee and a former president's daughter. I would also think that the Today Show would already have a police presence outside when they're taping live anyways.
