Sonny Bunch on the Paramount-WB merger: “I can accept that blocking this merger at the state level is pretty unlikely. But I don’t think any of us should pretend that the merger won’t have consequences for the movie business writ large, some of them quite deleterious.”
Wouldn’t Netflix have been worse for theaters? That was the only realistic alternative.
We should be more worried about the takeover of CNN since that’s why there was an endless amount of money to give out to WB.
