A Eurovision-winning singer is to host a gig in her back garden for fans.

Cheryl Baker, founding member of Bucks Fizz, who is now in The Fizz, is opening up the gates to the grounds of her home in west Kent for a select few fans for the sell-out gig on Saturday.

Bucks Fizz shot to fame when they secured a victory for the UK at the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest with the catchy ditty Making Your Mind Up.

Baker told BBC South East: “We first did this during lockdown and it was a huge success with fans, so we’ve done it every year since.”

She said: “When we first did the gig, we were all spaced out in our own little areas.

    “It’s quite a big garden.

The line-up of the group has changed over the years.

Founding members Cheryl Baker and Jay Aston held public auditions for new singers in 2024.

Matthew Pateman and Nikk Mager joined them following year.
