      I’m always nervous these days when they bring black characters to live action. They almost always find someone with “crossover appeal”.

      Would love a Tiana movie where she isn’t a frog for most of it tbh. And I liked the animated version! Just want more human Tiana.

      I feel like this is literally a racist campaign against POC considering the, you know, constant racist attacks the usually female stars of these live-action films receive. Like…at one point does Disney not say, hey, this is happening every time before it starts to feel deliberate 🤨

      Okay but this means Coleman Domingo is gonna produce/there will be a revamped princess and the frog soundtrack, some of Disneys best songs imo

      Princess and the Frog is one of my top Disney movies, but i am still bitter at Disney deciding that Numbers Not Go Up Enough and deciding to kill the 2D animation department, even though the film was well recieved!

      Like damn, they used this film as an example to kill an entire art form, and now they’re resurrecting it just to turn it into another shitty live action cash grab because they’re running out of white princesses.

      Feels bad, man.

      Not a fan of the live action films, but I am intrigued by a movie with the exact setting and themes of The Princess and the Frog. I want more movies about 1920s New Orleans with voodoo and bayous.

      I honestly prefer this “reimaging” like they did with Maleficent then a straight up beat for beat remake like Beauty and The Beast or Aladdin. Also, I’m curious to see who’d they’d cast as Naveen. Is top3 hottest Disney Princes for me.

      I decided to read this as “Coleman Domingo really wants an excuse to play Facilier” and you know what I’ll take any excuse to see Coleman Domingo play Facilier

      I’m wary but if Colman Domingo’s involved I’ll have a little faith.

      If they’re not going to cast a Black Prince Naveen, I hope they consider a South Asian actor (Naveen is an Indian name). Anirudh Pisharody looks like a Disney Prince to me.
