Newly retired NFL quarterback Russell Wilson and his wife, Grammy-winning singer Ciara, listed their Rancho Santa Fe property on the northern outskirts of San Diego late last year for $55 million. Almost eight months later, with no deal in place, they are trying again with a significant price cut.
The couple is now seeking $45 million for the Mediterranean-style spread, which they acquired for $14.5 million in 2021. They then gave the residence, completed in the early 2000s, an extensive makeover, most notably transforming an equestrian arena into a professional-grade turf football field where Wilson and his teammates regularly met up to practice during the off season. Wilson played 14 seasons in the NFL, primarily with the Seattle Seahawks and most recently for the New York Giants. After officially announcing his retirement in June, he joined CBS’s Sunday NFL pregame show as an analyst. Ciara, meanwhile, snagged her first Grammy back in 2010 and has garnered four additional nominations.
According to Architectural Digest, the couple have completed a couple of eight-figure real estate deals in the past few years, including the 2024 sale of a $31 million Seattle-area abode and the 2022 purchase of a $25 million home in the Denver area.
