Shane Gillis has made comedy history.

With 76,212 tickets sold for his July 17 show at Lincoln Financial Field, the stadium home of the Philadelphia Eagles, Gillis has broken the Guinness World Record for most tickets sold for a comedy show by a solo comedian.

Guinness World Records adjudicator Andy Glass verified the official ticket sales figures and confirmed the record to
      Variety.
When he took the stage, Gillis broke a separate Guinness World Record for largest audience for a comedian, which was determined by the verified attendance count inside the stadium. That number was 73,946 attendees, beating the previous record
held by Mario Barth, who performed for 67,733 people at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on July 12, 2008. (It was reported in 2025 that Gabriel Iglesias and Jo Koy could have eclipsed Barth’s attendance number with their joint show at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, but a rep says the record was never officially attempted with Guinness.)

Dude’s funny, but what a bad venue for comedy. Rather see Stavii at Mcgoobys.

    4. I assume MAGA people felt obligated to go because Shane is their guy, therefore his success validates their voting preferences or whatever.
