It’s the WGA, not WHA, my bad!
Which categories are being eliminated from the broadcast?
The fact that 4 out of the 5 categories eliminated comes from Limited Series makes it seem like a targeted decision. It also makes the Television Academy, or whoever made the decision, seem out of touch with the current television landscape, Limited Series is one of the most competitive and interesting genres in television currently.
The categories they eliminated were an absolute slap in the face to character actors, for the record. Extremely disrespectful and I hope the committee reverses this ridiculous decision.
Are they at least going to do a livestream on youtube or something? Some streaming service should be doing that as the cut categories seem to affect them more than traditional media.
Also, I would love to see some awards for the crews. Would be neat to get more insight into the union crews who make it happen.
Eliminating writing category because you can’t give an Award to AI developed content. They don’t want to hire writers in the first place.
