Actually infuriating that Ohio only has a choice between her and Vivek Ramaswamy because neither are good. Like, both options are shit and I’ve never felt like my vote matters less

Once again proving that when they start to lose anything they stoop to the level of conservatives. No back bone whatsoever.

Of course they did.
They’ve legit decided that throwing trans people under the bus is their path to winning while maintaining the establishment and they will shut any criticism down in the name of “vote blue no matter who”

Yes, because trying to appeal to the moderates worked out so well for you last time. Also, telling people they can’t criticize someone running for public office is crazy. If you want to be an elected official then criticism comes with the job. I’m tired of these maga lights constantly throwing Trans people under the bus, for simply existing.

this thing will be studied someday, a history of this particular movement of bigotry and the precise point when everyone started to lose their minds like this.

Democrats could easily just not punch down on trans people? Like don’t talk about them if you don’t want to support them. But instead they stoop to overt transphobia like this woman or dogwhistles like Newsom.

I’m truly sorry (and sad) for the actual humans, many children, consistently attacked and thrown under a massive truck by politicians and their supporters on both sides of the political spectrum. Yes, both sides. While one side wants transgender people to disappear and not exist, the other side seems content to stand back and watch it happen, all in the name of electability.
‘Shhh…just pretend it’s fine to misgender children because it’s a losing issue.’ Find your goddamn spine, thanks.
Edit: I thought this was the Ohio sub and expected backlash. Unfortunately, the sentiment around Ohio supports the idea that it’s helping Vivek to give *any* criticism of Amy. Amy Acton has now misgendered trans people at least twice *and* has promised to put Republicans in her cabinet.

The Democratic establishment never ceases to amaze me.
One cohort of voters hate them for being the establishment, catering to rich professionals’ desire to seem virtuous, and giving selective handouts rather than improving things for workers.
Most of the Democratic leaning voters especially younger ones are outraged by how ineffectual and corporate they are, their inability to actually stand for anything, and their unwillingness to actually advance policies to help young and working people and reduce inequality.
Yeah, look…focusing on cultural issues, never delivering on progressive economic policies, spending more money at the state and local levels without actually achieving better results (helllloooo look at how test scores are declining in blue states despite them spending way more per student)… that’s a losing strategy. But actually focusing on tangible economic and affordability issues first with a socially equitable policy underlying it is a proven winning ones.
These kinds of candidates who won’t take a real stand on anything … they’ll lose every single time.
