      I know this will be unpopular and I’m prepared for the backlash, but Tom Cruise is proof positive that no matter what you may do behind the scenes, the one thing the public gloms on to will be the thing that is screamed about the most. Say what you will about his religion, but he has done a lot for the film industry – particularly during Covid. He gave all his golden globes back to the HFPA after it was revealed they had no black members in the voting body at that time.

      All that to say, much less smoke is given to people who have similar, or even more, controversial private lives
