As Beyoncé’s fandom, the Beyhive, knows: In recent years, Beyoncé has largely remained out of the spotlight unless she’s on tour. Today was a notable exception as she attended the FIFA World Cup Finals at MetLife Stadium with her husband, rapper Jay-Z.

The couple were spotted watching the game from the stands, with Beyoncé dressed in an oversized cream jacket, and Jay-Z wearing a Yankees cap.

Jay-Z recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, at Yankees Stadium over three sold-out shows. Beyoncé joined him on stage, as did their eldest daughter, Blue Ivy. Other special guests included Rihanna, Nas, Eminem, and Alicia Keys.

Blue Ivy performed a piano solo for his song “Feelin’ It.” Earlier in the year, Jay-Z had praised his daughter’s skills on the piano. “That’s just talent. She doesn’t work at that. She worked at this, and it makes me proud that she fought for something that she really wanted to do,” he continued. “I don’t think we’re going to be able to get her off that stage now.”

Off stage, the Carters last stepped out as a family at the 2026 Met Gala, where Blue Ivy Carter made her Met Gala debut. “It feels surreal because my daughter’s here,” Beyoncé said on the carpet. “It’s incredible to be able to share it with her.” Blue Ivy did not appear to be in attendance with her parents at the World Cup today.

Jay-Z has attended a few games so far this World Cup, including Cote D’Ivoire’s first-ever World Cup match and the Brazil versus Norway round of 16 match.
