      The R&A aren’t FIFA – they’ve very markedly not used any of Trump’s courses for The Open (despite Turnberry being on the rotation) and they take The Rules very seriously indeed. They don’t give a shit who the president is when as far as they’re concerned they outrank God.

      The ruling was **100%** correct. DeChambeau can argue and cry all he wants, he unequivocally broke the rule. There could’ve been no justifying it like people did with Balogun’s “it shouldn’t have even been a red”.
