Marcello Hernandez on dating cultures in different places: “In Miami, if you wanna date a girl, you go, ‘let’s go eat sushi, let’s live this adult romantic experience.’ In Cleveland, they’re like, ‘you wanna go with me to Chipotle? We’re gonna walk.’”

I’m from Cleveland and this is absolutely accurate lol. We are a very casual city and we do love Chipotle

It’s all about what you’re used to. When I lived in a small town in northern Wisconsin, I would’ve killed a man with my bare hands for a nearby Chipotle. We had zero restaurants in town (but two bars). There was nowhere to go for lunch but the nature just outside was incredible.

Now that I’m back in a metro area, they’re building a Chipotle down the road and I couldn’t care less. We have several local taco places and they kick ass.

At the end of the day, we’re all different. Sometimes you want something non-authentic and that is A-OK. There’s something to like about the local vibe wherever you are.

The ladies are drooling over the sugar shot over on TikTok. Just in case anyone wants to go look that up. Or clip it

    4. At first I was stoked that this guy was blowing up bc he went to school in Cleveland so I thought it was cool he’s from around here. But then he just started shitting all over it. Talk about picking ip the ladder behind you

    5. I live outside of Cleveland and I like sushi. But also I’m fine with just picking something up? It’s really not about going OUT. It depends who you are going out with, why, and what the vibe is.

    6. Offering a Chipotle date in California would probably get you blocked immediately

    7. I think this guy made me realize how much of american comedy is just saying/inventing stereotypes and then acting like theyre true with absolute confidence

Uh, I think dating in Miami is a very VERY different experience if you have money or not lol. If you’re not rich literally everything I’ve seen/heard is that it’s the most materialistic place on the planet and everything is hyper transactional.

I think I’m good with Chipotle and a walk, lol.

Damn, West 41st and Storer? I used to live in one of those houses on the left and I helped put a new roof on that church.

He talks about going to college in Cleveland in his standup special. It’s very funny and accurate sounding as someone from Cleveland.

What I still don’t get is how he ended up at a pretty small college up here! He’s never said what made him pick that school.

    11. Is he doing a Sebastian Maniscalco impression? Please give Sebastian every opportunity that this hack has.

    12. I live in Alabama and it’s considered a late night out if you happened to be doing something past 8pm on a Friday lol.

I went to school in central PA, I’m from the jersey shore. Definitely the same kind of experience where I’m dressing to the 9s wearing heels and boys are wearing hoodies lol

    14. I’m sick of this blatantly incorrect information about Cleveland! We don’t walk anywhere! We’re gonna drive to Chipotle, man

Miami sounds like a dating hell hole anyway so whatever. They live in a bubble
