Photos acquired by The Sun show that after officially stepping down as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom this morning, Keir Starmer went to the pub for a pint. Sacked Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves also went for a drink with her staff.

I’d get smashed if I’d resigned from being PM
The audacity of the unemployed these days! Boozing on a Monday GET A FUCKING JOB
Most valid reaction ever

Relatable.

Like idk…seems to be a perfectly reasonable thing to do post PM-life.
fair enough. shit looking pint though.
doesn’t quite beat david cameron’s humming but it is up there
Most relatable he’s been since he became PM.
Genuinely the happiest Rachel Reeves has ever looked.
Seems fair.
While we were listening to the news at work today one of my colleagues asked how many months into being PM do you think a lot of them realise they’re in over their heads.

Breaking news: person who left job has leaving do.
God I wish that were me
Thought Rachel was double parked for a second there
As an American obsessed with British TV comedies, when I see these posts about actual real-life British politicians, all I can think about is The Thick of It (and how devastatingly hot Peter Capaldi is as Malcolm Tucker)…
Of all the things I would happily criticise him for, this isn’t one of them.
Possibly the first real and relatable thing he’s done tbh
He was gasping
Pap walk leaving do. It’s a shame that they were so loathed by the ‘stop the boats’ crowd they so desperately courted, because you get immediately lumped in with that lot when you express the disgust that Starmer should exclusively greeted with online.
These ghouls spat in the face of anyone even faintly to their left, and sat wondering why nobody was there to catch them when they were immediately spurned by Tory and Reform heads.
Waiting for the “in a blow to Rachel Reeves” headlines. Good on both of them for enjoying a beverage after leaving cabinet.

I mean, fair.
Finally they feel like actual people I’d vote for.
it’s giving

On the phone to Peter Thiel or some other ghoul about his next gig no doubt
I mean, pension forever right ?
Going out for a pint after your last day at work is a time honoured tradition
If the worst thing the sun has on you is going for pints then you’re doing pretty good

At this point, Larry the Cat should be the British PM.
Most stable member of government they have.
these past few weeks of starmers office have been surprisingly bittersweet in the way he’s shown plenty personality beyond the incompetent slice of stale white bread he’s been painted as for the past few years. shame that he never got a real chance and was bogged down by bad decisions, a sticky situation and the media lambasting him
And why shouldn’t he,?
Has anyone else seen Keir Starmer’s official account make an edit of him with a clip from Fast & Furious 7 to show his political highlights? 😭😭😭

can brits explain why your prime ministers never last more than a nano second? the last long term leadership i can remember is david cameron
Looks like a cask ale too. Would have thought him a lager man
The only politician from the UK I trust is the chief mouser. What does he have to say about all this drama? Put us on course Larry, put us back on the path to success and victory! 😂
