“General Hospital” star Rory Gibson and Alicia Ruelas’ wedding was truly a long time coming.

After 15 years together, the couple tied the knot on July 11 in an intimate ceremony on the North Shore of Kauai, Hawaii, with 25 guests before celebrating again on July 16 with a larger reception in Los Angeles. In an interview with People published July 20, the newlyweds said they embraced a “go-with-the-flow” approach, creating “relaxed and chill vibes” for the celebration in Hawaii.

“I admire how extraordinarily kind and joyous Alicia is. We live a truly happy life, and I feel unbelievably lucky to call her my partner,” Gibson said.

    Ruelas shared similar sentiments.

“I admire how sweet and genuine of a man Rory is. Our life is so full of love. I wouldn’t change a thing,” she said.

The Los Angeles celebration brought together about 150 guests, including several of Gibson’s current and former co-stars from “General Hospital” and “The Young and the Restless.”

“We envisioned having an amazing vacation with our closest family and friends to celebrate our love in Hawaii, then coming back to L.A. and having a big, fun celebration with our loved ones,” Gibson said.

For the Hawaii ceremony, Gibson wore a suit by Ian Firestone, while Ruelas chose a versatile Evie Young Bridal gown featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline with folded straps, a sculpted corset-style bodice and a full A-line skirt. She completed the minimalist look with a delicate pearl necklace and stud earrings, wearing her long dark hair in loose, windswept waves.

The gown was designed to be styled multiple ways, allowing her to refresh the look for the couple’s second celebration.

After getting engaged on Oct. 10, 2022, Ruelas bought a wedding dress the following year, expecting to wear it down the aisle someday. But by the time the wedding arrived, it no longer felt like the right fit.

“I went wedding dress shopping again just to look, and I found the most perfect dress that felt so much more me,” she said. “It felt mature, timeless and elegant.”

Before joining “General Hospital,” Gibson was best known for playing Noah Newman on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless.” He took over the role of Michael Corinthos in 2025 following Chad Duell’s departure.
