A photo posted to FIFA’s official World Cup social media accounts seemed to exclude the U.S. President Donald Trump, who lingered on stage alongside FIFA president Gianni Infantino. Spain’s national team was positively ecstatic after their 2026 World Cup win against Argentina July 19 at the New York New Jersey Stadium. They took center pitch to accept the coveted World Cup trophy from the Commander-in-Chief and Infantino, but Trump seemed to linger on stage beside the players as the FIFA president appeared to lead him away, to no avail. Later, joyful team photos posted to both FIFA official World Cup accounts on X and Instagram—as well as the Spanish national team’s official Instagram account—appeared to crop out Trump.
