      Love to see someone like her use her platform like this, consistently, actively, and even finding new ways to keep spreading the word and getting more people involved. Getting the info out about resources, and organizations, and really doing a lot.

      She’s not wrong either. If you are pro life you are pro abortion. Access to proper pre-natal care and abortion clinics in turns saves lives.

      I remember years ago I heard an interview on NPR with, iirc, Gloria Allred where she stated that abortion is a net positive for society. Her argument was that forcing women to have children they don’t want and/or can’t care for benefits nobody and actually many times hurts those children, families and society at large. That was the first time I had ever heard somebody say that out loud. She was right.

      I didn’t watch much but was immediately impressed with her initial question and the jargon she used. She was prepared and takes this seriously; I wish I wasn’t almost 40 and I was 15 because the album she released would be my personality for like 10+ years oof I were that age. And I probably would have started being a more vocal advocate long before I actually did, even though I have held the same values for so long.

      Girls her age are so lucky to have her music and advocacy!!!! I hope that young women feel inspired by her and carry her with them 💖

      I don’t listen to her music but am a huge fan of who she is as a person, and I’m so happy that the young people who love and look up to her have someone so fearless and outspoken (and CORRECT) because we need more people like her so desperately

      This is probably frisson and also just our reproductive rights in general, but I angry-teared up just 1 minute into the video and since I’m in the office, I have to be at home to watch the whole thing. I’m very happy she’s using her platform for our justice.

      People who say musicians should stay out of politics are myopic af. Generations of musicians speaking out against wars, racial inequality, etc. Ms. Rodrigo represents the best of musicians

      As a millennial man. I have no clue about her music. I don’t even know if I’ve heard a single tune she’s played. All I do know is I’m a fan strictly by word of mouth. She genuinely seems to be on the right side of everything.

      Yes, of course, this particular flavor of fascists are “pro-control” but an even more accurate way to describe them is “ANTI-CHOICE”—they do not want women to have the ability to make ANY choices for themselves, including and especially about their own bodies!
