    1. The red scare never really stopped, just kept getting repackaged over and over.

Let’s stop being scared of the word ‘socialist’.

My parents migrated to the Netherlands with nothing when i was five years old. But the government, from the second I stepped into the country, even as a refugee who could be sent back every single day, sent me to school. That’s how much they believed education is a human right for children. They paid for my braces; they paid for my ADHD meds and therapy.

If i came to the US, i would we cleaning toilets right now. But they paid for me and believed in me and now i make more than the top 10% of my age bracket after greaudating from one of the best universities in the country. And now I’m paying like 35% of my income in taxes, and I’m proud to do it.

I dont know how the richest country has all the money in the world for bombs, but cant give children the same means i had.

    5. As a Swede it’s fucking insane to see how hated socialist are in the us. Hell, even Sweden is leaning away from socialistic views these days. Eugh

I’ve never understood people saying healthcare isn’t a right. Huh?? You don’t think people inherently have a right to live and be healthy?
