That behavior should qualify as harassment and photogs should start getting arrested.Ā
20-25 years? What a fucking loser! That is stalking and itās wrong. Disgusting.
I really respect how she acknowledges her privilege at the start, but then advocates for herself and her children. Sheās right this is dangerous behavior.

She is not being completely honest here. Both her and Ben call the paps or go where they know they’ll be. Paps rarely stalk people these days – for obvious reasons.
Itās interesting that California hasnāt passed stricter laws around paparazzi/stalking. Other cities/states have pretty strict laws surrounding harassment and itās illegal to impede a personās daily routine like this.
Paparazzi are weirdos.

I’va always disliked and hated the paparazzi. Even for the super privileged, no one deserves that treatment just because you’re famous. And it is such bizarre behavior too. Knocking down the little kids at your child’s school? So scary and mortifying.
When I first came to LA as an intern she and another mom (I want to say Katie Holmes?) were speaking out about this, it was all over the radio. A few days later a story came out about a particular paparazzi following Katie Holmes and her daughter into a supermarket, the little girl yelled at him to go away, and he *yelled back at this child*, calling her a spoiled brat.Ā
*And people were agreeing with the paparazzi*! This would have been 2013 or so I think.
There was all sorts of sketchy shit, but the absolute worst were the way the paps would camp out at LAX. I once saw this dude fucking booking it across the baggage claim with this gigantic camera and ngl I was definitely tempted to stick my foot out and trip his ass.Ā
Fuck that. I grew up traveling a lot, letās be real here after a long flight you just want to get to wherever you want to get to. Imagine flying 8, 12, 14 hours, coming out of a plane, and thereās someone shoving a camera in your (unwashed, dried out, sleep deprived) face.
Donāt come at me with the whole āpaps are people too just trying to make a livingā shtick. Iād rather flip a burger than call women c**** hoping to get a good reaction shot.
The upside is itās not as bad as it was then. I canāt remember the last time I saw a pap parked out at LAX. Things are a lot more organized now. The celebs call the paps, the paps get their shot. Win-win.Ā
The public needs to despise and revile paparazzi like the scum they are. Get a real job!

Super unrelated, howās this guy Evan gets a Netflix deal? What does he bring to the artistic world? Why him?
Sadly, itās all part of the Hollywood machine. Technically, these celebs should have direct control over their PR now with social media and paparazzi should have gone the way of the dodo bird at this point.
I think that itās still allowed and encouraged by Hollywood in order to create hype and push sensational headlines to keep people consumed with celebrity gossip so they are distracted from their own lives and our crumbling democracy. Itās just another form of control by the wealthiest. If the powers that be wanted to, they could absolutely put a stop to this harassment and stalking.
Btw, Iām not much into fandom but I swear everytime I see Jennifer Garner I find that she is just so delightful. She comes across has very genuine.
I did a play with a celeb three years ago and still get weird DMs from ppl asking what she was like. As soon as the cast list was sent, a ton of intense fan IGs accounts were spamming us all. I got a strange phone call once too.
She had to apologize to everyone cast and crew and we were like “this isn’t on you. No need to say anything and promise we won’t engage with them.”
That is so weird. The whole new concept of the relationship between a celebrity and their 25 years long assigned paparazzi? Thatās a movie right there because itās a fucking weird ass concept but unfortunately reality for Garner. Jesus Christ.
