Boil 16 cups water in a large pot.
Turn off burner and add leaves 8 cups of PACKED meadow tea leaves (stalks included)
Let them hang out for 15 minutes on the stove top.
    Strain through a cheese cloth.
Add 4 cups sugar to hot mixture.
This is your concentrate. Pour into freezer containers and freeze for later or use right away. When ready to serve, mix concentrate with equal parts water. (3 cups concentrate to 3 cups ice water etc.)

    Zucchini Bread:
    3 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    1 tbsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. oil
    2 c. grated zucchini
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    ¼ tsp. baking powder
Put eggs, oil and uncooked grated zucchini in blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into bowl and mix with remaining ingredients. Divide between two loaf pans that are oiled and dusted with flour. Bake at 325° for 1 hour. We like to eat this warmed up and spread with butter.

When a power outage hits your home, how do you keep your family comfortable? See how we manage life without electricity.

This week (and video) did NOT go as planned. After historic storms caused massive damage across Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, we were left without power. This update shows the reality of dealing with storm damage aftermath and trying to keep things normal even at 30 weeks pregnant!

Emergency preparedness, homemaking life, and even a little homesteading– beans for the freezer counts right? This vlog has it all. Plus, a little humbling at the end with a fender bender car damage. Grrr. So annoyed at myself. But, ya know? Sometimes life is picture perfect. But most times it’s not. One thing’s for sure, us moms are going to figure out a way to keep the train moving! I hope this video inspires you to look at your homemaking with fresh eyes. How can you make time for REAL LIFE? You can do it!

    1. Megan….slow down! You are running on a high note…even I'm getting worn out…..I'm a 72 yo woman, Mom, & Nana, and I know what it feels like bouncing off the walls….your house doesn't have to be perfect, or decorated perfect, or making gourmet meals. Enjoy your kids, your wealth, your free time, and your husband….remember that not everyone in your home runs on high…..Sorry, but I have noticed it for a long time…I used to watch your channel daily, but I needed a break……relax! Love your channel and love you….slow down❤❤

    2. Hello, Megan!

I have been watching your channel for at least two years.
      I adore your content.

I had a little thought about the beautiful picture with the oranges at your coffee bar.

      It is gorgeous there!

But I think it would tie everything together if you added something from the actual picture onto the coffee bar.

      For example:
Some oranges in a beautiful colored glass bowl.
Maybe the bowl could be a color would is dominant in the picture.

Or some faux flowers that are exactly like the ones in that picture, in a small vase on the coffee bar somewhere.

I feel like adding a touch more of some of the items in that picture would really bring your coffee bar into such a charming setup!

Otherwise, just glancing at the picture seems a little strange.
Because you have FIXINS for a coffee bar, right?

Then all of a sudden there is a framed photo of oranges and flowers….
It could flow together beautifully if you pieced more items from.the picture throughout the coffee bar as well.

Those are just some thoughts that I had; I hope they make sense.

Your style of decor is simply beautiful.

      Happy Summer! 🌞🌞🌞

    3. The picture for the coffee bar is fine – but maybe put it in a different frame with a matboard surrounding it. Also – maybe you could put some of your past family pictures on the wall in the hallway – making a gallery of pictures (obviously, smaller sizes – not the really big ones that you put over your fireplace.) Blessings, Janell
PS – Look for the Pineapple-Zuchini Bread recipe online. It is delicious!

    4. Progress over perfection.
Every child 3 and older can learn how to contribute to the household tasks
household tasks are not gender specific.
Life happens, don’t take it personally.
      More mercy, less judgement.

These are the things I keep in mind as I go about daily tasks.

    5. Yes, definitely keep that orange picture. It is perfect and I love it where you have it! Enjoy your baby-moon, I love the idea of that as well. Love to watch you fix the meals and prepare new meals as well. I am more fond of a sewing machine than oven but it seems my life is more at the oven. LOL Great video and I love the lace skirt you shared and in the podcast with you two girls you wore it and I thought how beautiful it was. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. It seems that way to me anyway! You are so fortunate to have your mother so close and the children lucky to have their grandmother so close. What a great relationship that is. Blessings to you, John, and all those precious little ones!! In grew up with seven siblings and it was the best! So sweet and always someone to play along with no matter what games, or riding bikes, or whatever!

    6. I love that you have to pick your clothes based on how you feel. I started following you just because our style is so similar and I so understand overpacking because you don't know how you are going to feel!

    7. My sister-in-law felt the same way with baby# 5, she was puzzled because up till then she had no worries. Possibly it's just that, you start to think about odds and etc. That's all. My mom supposedly had the RH factor, and no problems with 7 pregnancies. You have a cheery nature and you're very active, all in your favour along with keeping your weight down. It's a glorious feeling being pregnant, isn't it? A very spiritual feeling, makes it hard to understand men who see women as inferior, what a special miraculous gift we have!

    8. Megan, your videos have everything a good recipe, a good drink recipe, and I loved seeing the train pass; that was so exciting. I liked the picture over the coffee bar; you're right, the pop of orange looks so nice. I would love to see a Back to School video; they're so much fun!! Another great video! Praying for you, and your baby, and your family. I'm so happy you're having a little girl! So exciting!

    9. Megan, sometimes I use mod podge over amazon or hobby lobby artwork to make it look painted and give it texture!! it helps it look more expensive

    10. Ok Megan, I never do comments but concerning your hallway. Could you maybe switch that sweet table with family photos with the cute bench? The family photos would look nice in hallway I think. And not sure if bench would fit in other area since I don’t know measurements. I’ve seen benches in foyer and always seems to work. Maybe put antique mirror above it? And then again, maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about, haha! I would definitely wait on the artwork and maybe find something you like better. You sound a little iffy about what you have. Hope you don’t mind my suggestions.😜
