As San Diego Comic-Con continues, Hasbro has provided new details regarding the online availability of this year’s convention exclusives.
Among those planned releases is The Real Ghostbusters Ecto-Glow Glow Copter, Hasbro’s recreation of Kenner’s glow-in-the-dark toy vehicle. While many fans had expected it to be part of the first Ghostbusters SDCC pre-order drop, Hasbro has now confirmed that it will launch alongside the company’s remaining in-stock convention exclusives on August 10 at 1:00 PM EDT for Hasbro Pulse Premium members, before opening to the general public on August 11 at 1:00 PM EDT, while supplies last.
Inspired by Kenner’s canceled toy vehicle, Hasbro’s updated Ecto-Glow Glow Copter features an authentic retro design, a spinning rotor, and a ghost bomb accessory. Also included are Ecto-Glow Hero Louis Tully and a Meanie Weenie Ghost figure, with the vehicle, figures, and select accessories all featuring glow-in-the-dark elements. [PRODUCT PAGE]
For fans looking to expand their collections with Hasbro’s newly announced offerings, yesterday’s reveals also included the Kenner Classics Janine Melnitz & Louis Tully 40th Anniversary Set and the all-new Ecto-Plazms minifigure line.
The retro-inspired Janine and Louis set brings two of the animated series’ most beloved supporting characters into the Kenner Classics collection, complete with articulation, character-specific Proton Packs, Neutrona Wands with stream effects, and two accompanying ghost companions. Priced at $46.99 USD, the set is currently available to pre-order and is scheduled to ship on November 1. [PRE-ORDER NOW]
Joining them are The Real Ghostbusters Ecto-Plazms, a nostalgic new collectible line featuring 72 randomized minifigures spread across 12 characters. Each character is available in six possible color variations, including glow-in-the-dark editions.
