After months of speculation and test shoots, crews are using using the iconic landmark for the Hollywood movie.
Principal photography was confirmed to have begun by director Matt Reeves on social media.
The crossing closed on Friday for the production unit to set up equipment to capture the return of the Caped Crusader.

Fans hoping for a glimpse of the actors will be disappointed as the bridge has been fenced off and all access points are guarded by security staff.
Support vehicles are lined up on the approach to the crossing.
One West Bank resident said: “We’re so used to the sound of traffic, it seems eerie that it is so quiet.”

The bridge, Queensway and specific footpaths are closed for filming until 7pm on Sunday July 26.
The Runcorn footpath leading to the bridge and Widnes Queensway footpath are closed.

Traffic and buses are being diverted across the Mersey Gateway.
A shuttle bus for pedestrians and cyclists will run from the Waterloo Road bus stop in West Bank to Runcorn Station bus stop.

A spokesman for Halton Council said: “The council would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused for users of the bridge during this time.”
Crews have been seen filming earlier this month in Liverpool city centre and the Mersey tunnels.
