      The dog a woman gets in her mid-20s is such a special one, mine is 12 and we have been through so much together. RIP sweet Finn ❤️

      She took excellent care of him (and all of the other animals she has rescued) and it shows, he lived a long and happy life with her. May they meet again 🤎

      This poem helped me a lot when I lost my soul-cat years ago. I am heartbroken at this news. All my love to Amanda and her family. Rest in peace, sweet Finn.

      Ugh. I’ve been dreading this day. I don’t keep up with Amanda too closely but I remember when she first got him.

      There have been a few times in recent years that I’d looked at her socials to see how he was doing and found myself relieved to see he was okay as I knew he was getting up there in age. That being said, my heart sank seeing her post this morning.

      Wishing she and her family the best. He seemed like such a sweet dog.

      I know that they can’t live forever but we still want them to live forever. Amanda’s relationship with Finn has been just so sweet over the years. The way she has talked about and celebrated him and everything that came from them being together.

      (And Simon, who I’ve been in tears about on and off this week with all of the other dog lovers.)

      During the 16 years she had Finn, she’s filmed 41 movies and 9 TV shows. She’s dated and broken up with Dominic Cooper, Desmond Harrington, and Justin Long. She got engaged and married to Thomas Sadoski and has had two children with him. That dog has arguably been more part of her life than any other being on this earth. This must be absolutely heartbreaking for her, but oh what a joy to have that love in your life for so long.

      My heart is breaking for her 💔 what a beautiful dog and what a beautiful relationship they obviously had.

      Gonna hug my dog and cry for a bit about his mortality even though he’s only about to turn six and he’s totally healthy. If I ever find a genie I’ll be changing the rules of pet lifespans for everyone.

      Aw, I used to see them walking everyday around the west village/6th ave ish. This was years and years ago. He was so cute.

      16 years for a big dog is a really good age. You can tell that she took good care of him.

      I lost my soul dog in January. We only had 6 years together, but they were the best years of my life. She was the best girl ever. My heart goes out to Amanda 💔

      I’m not even huge Seyfried fan (she’s fine she’s lovely) but I have been quietly nervous about this day coming. The spirit of a good dog just radiates, ya know? You could tell he was special.

      Ugh this is awful. Between this and Isabel Klee having to put Simon to sleep it has not been a good week for the adorable doggos.
