We’re finally here! San Diego Comic-Con 2026 will soon have its big Marvel moment, and IGN will be in the front row reporting live from Marvel Studios’ Hall H panel. The action kicks off at 5.30pm PT / 8.30pm ET / 1.30am, July 26 UK time. So be sure to check back below for all the announcements, trailer information, and anything else the Marvel Cinematic Universe has up its sleeve for fans.
So, what should we expect? Well, Avengers: Doomsday is out this December, and we just got its first proper trailer. So I’m sure we’ll get plenty of Doomsday talk from Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige and perhaps some (or maybe even many!) of its stars. Maybe we’ll get some casting announcements — could there be room in Doomsday for even more characters? We will hopefully see new footage. Maybe we’ll even get a tease for next year’s Secret Wars.
The big hope is that Marvel Studios does its big timeline of releases thing, and outlines the future of the MCU beyond Secret Wars. We know that Feige plans for a reset moment — although he insists it’s not a reboot. Could we get an announcement for the first post-Secret Wars movie?
The Most Surprising Avengers and Marvel Characters Not Announced for Doomsday
This week, Feige said Marvel had mapped out its movie plans up to 2042, and he hinted at a “streamlined, simplified” universe post-Avengers: Secret Wars, a big push for the new X-Men, and plans to eventually unveil a live-action Miles Morales. Surely it’s time to get a better idea of how it will all work, and if so, maybe tonight’s the night.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day new footage
The Punisher star Jon Bernthal walks on-stage to talk about Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and to introduce new footage. We see Hulk smash Spider-Man on the floor, only the Punisher to walk up and shoot Hulk over and over. Hulk is pissed, as you’d expect, and Spider-Man throws an exploding web, trapping Hulk. Spider-Man asks the Punisher what he’s doing here, and he responds to say “I’m saving your ass.” Spider-Man adds: “This is way above your paygrade!” Spider-Man webs the Punisher and drags him behind him, underneath Hulk. An explosive is thrown at Hulk, who catches it and says, “Really?” in Mark Ruffalo’s voice, as if he’s a hybrid Smart / Savage Hulk. He’s roaring and furious but also can speak normally.
Spider-Man and the Punisher make a plan where Spider-Man will get something while the Punisher distracts. “You’re gonna fight the Hulk?” Spider-Man asks. “I guess so,” the Punisher responds. And that’s the end of the footage!
Ghost Rider is confirmed!
As rumored, Marvel Studios has confirmed a Ghost Rider movie, and it’s Ryan Gosling in the title role! Ryan Gosling is on-stage: “Wow, is this really happening? Okay… uh… as you know, this is a character I’ve wanted to play for a very long time.” The director is Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy, who arrives on-stage. Levy is of course the director of Star Wars: Starfighter, which stars Gosling. Ghost Rider is due out at some point in 2028. The logo is in the image below.

Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige is on the stage. His hat has an image of Doctor Doom on it. Feige talks about Marvel’s history in Hall H: the first Avengers cast reveal, Loki actor Tom Hiddleston in costume, and the Robert Downey Jr. reveal as Doctor Doom from two years ago. He says it all comes back to the comics. “Without the comics, no MCU, no movies, no TV shows, no animation, nothin,” Feige says.
Feige asks if anyone is watching X-Men ’97, which gets plenty of cheers. He also mentions Disney Plus show, Vision Quest, which is coming out in October as the third part of the WandaVision trilogy. “We’re very excited for that,” he says.
Feige is here to mainly talk about MCU movies though, and mentions Endgame to more cheers. We’re shown a trailer for Avengers: Endgame Encore. The trailer we see is all old footage, but the logo is ENDGAME ENCORE (no “Avengers”). Feige then says it will have exclusive footage from Doomsday.
It’s beginning!
We’re about to begin, and we’re being told not to record footage. That means NEW footage will be shown here at Hall H! The Marvel Studios logo is displayed, alongside footage from previous Marvel movies, including Black Panther, The Fantastic Four, Shang-Chi, Spider-Man movies, and Deadpool & Wolverine. Huge cheers for Deadpool & Wolverine!
Herbie is here!
Herbie (the original The Fantastic Four: First Steps design) is on-stage, just rolling around on his own. He’s laughing and waving hello in Herbie speak. This is good crowd warming up stuff! Herbie said goodbye, waves, and rolls away.
Doom!
Marvel Studios is handing out plastic Doom masks to attendees. The audience is chanting, “Doom! Doom! Doom!” Yes, there’s a lot of energy in Hall H right now…
