How to make children obediently receive injections #fyp
A child steps on a rusty iron nail and must be vaccinated against tetanus. A highly realistic clinic story revolves around the tug of war between “gentle parenting” and medical necessity.
The little boy Jacob resisted the injection after being injured. His parents adhered to a gentle parenting philosophy, emphasized respecting the child’s physical autonomy, and refused to forcefully hold down the child for injection. The attending doctor was helpless for a moment and discussed solutions with colleagues.
Various attempts hit a wall one after another:
Wanted to intimidate children with the story of “turning into a twisted person without injections”, but was stopped by parents and not allowed to use fear education;
Take out a vaccine science popularization cartoon. It is a household rule that children cannot watch electronic screens before taking a shower;
Propose to use a chocolate bar as a reward, Jacob specifically wants another candy, but negotiations are deadlocked.
Conventional preaching, enticement, and intimidation are all ineffective. The doctor changed his mindset, let go of his preachy attitude, and started a role-playing game.
He transformed into the hero ‘Hospital Superman’, molding Tetanus into the villainous professor, using the needle as a righteous syringe, and turning the desired candy into an energy supply.

Would have said out right hey buddy you are going to die so do you want to live or not
Bro pin the kid to the wall and take the shot. It’s that or dying 💔
“Our son has body autonomy” well he’s gonna have a coffin soon if u guys don’t lock in 😭
Then you hear the kid go “room!…. Shambles!”
Yeah this should count as medical neglect. Tetanus is life threatening. Allowing your child to deny potentially life saving treatment because of your "principles" is flat out moronic and unacceptable.
This is just a clip of 4 adults being weak and ruining the future generation.
Bro tf my mom said “get the fucking shot or ur gonna get even more shots in ur arm” she was talking about ivs if i got sick badly
When I was a kid I happily got my shots done because I was told what the infections they prevented could do. I feel like most kids in real life (kids in real life are different from TV) are smart enough to do the same once they know the potential consequences. Though maybe some kids would weigh the short term pain of a shot with far more weight than the potential horror of an infection, and in those cases I think it is appropriate to decide what's best for them on thier behalf. But the attempt to persuade through even level explanation should be done first.
Shouldn't the cast learn to act first, 😂😂,
“gentle parenting” watch his body turn white in like a few days and maybe possibly die
This is NOT gentle parenting. That kid is either not gonna survive in this world or grow up to be someone utterly insufferable making everyone in his life miserable. Gentle parenting is so much more complicated than people make it seem. Even adults sometimes need to do things they don't want to, simply because it's necessary. Children need to learn that too. These parents would probably rather their son die than impose on his "body autonomy".
Just warn him about what tetanus do if you don't take the shot, no need to show him, the description alone is graphic enough : your all muscles will start to violently contrat, longer and longer, stronger and stronger. And when I say all your muscles , i mean ALL of them, it including your diaphragme, the thing that make you breathe
Those are horrible parents.
Ahh parenting Thry want their child to die
It's not using fear, it's showing him the reality of what tetanus can do if it goes untreated.
“I don’t want it” The guys next words should’ve been. Well I guess you’re dying. And then he should’ve walked away
Yes I know it's not real but there are some people out there like this and if a parent ever acts like this about something as severe as tetanus then they need to be arrested cause your basically saying "no don't give it to him we want him to die"
Vaccine brainwashing 😬😬😬
At this point just be abusive❤❤❤
This is why child services exist. If the parents are siding with the child who is refusing care, call cps or kick them out because why are they there if that's the case?
Is this why the American healthcare system is so expensive?
All of that for a nerds add
i woulda gave up if you wanna die then die idgaf
BRO THEN WHY GO TO THE DOCTOR IF YOU DON'T WANT THEM TO DO ANYTHING
This only exists in white america. That’s it. You won’t see this bullshit anywhere else in the world. Why do you think the U.S. has all the worst serial killers? 😅
I got a tetanus shot recently I was like, ohh that wasn’t to bad, then almost passed out
Or the parents can just wait for the result and make a version 2 and make better decisions on making exceptions when it comes to life.
Im SO FUCKING ANNOYED WITH THE PARRNTS
rip oliver tree
Does anyone know what show this is
Remember this people, it's not weird til you make it weird and weirdos will definitely use this against you
If you want to make kids do something they don't wanna do, rephrase the task.
Instead of "Do you wanna take a shot", I would've probably said "do you want candy A or candy B after you've taken your shot"
Maybe it works… Maybe it doesn't but I'll be damned if I let the parents of a clearly spoiled kid spoil the kid more in my presence
Have them sign a refusal of treatment and then just let them kill their kid. It's the only way to let stupidity die out instead of spreading.
You don’t know how many times I wanted to tell those parents to shut the hell up
Not ruling in fear if it’s the truth
Just let him get tetanus. Kid seems like a piece of work.
tbh id just refer them to a different doctor and not deal with it
i really dont think even interns have enough time to do something like that let alone revolve around one kind n spend so much time
Why gentle parenting is shit
Yeah, you should have just not given him the shot. And then he will have learned his lesson
Weak parents create monsters. Entire generations got disciplined through switches, belts, and hand to the backside. I would like to see this kid pull this on my grandmother, you either picked the switch or you got twice the punishment. Grandma would swat your hands as your dad or mom makes your backside redder than Rudolph's nose. We all grew up fine but no boundaries will lead to a monster with no self control. Karen's on steroids type monsters.
I have gentle parents, and they're the best.
When I was 5 or something, I had to get a shot I really didn't want. Six doctors had to hold me down. I was scared, but fine after. It was COMPLETELY valid and the responsible and right thing to do to give me that shot against my will.
These parents aren't gentle, they're being neglectful. At the end of the day, you need to do what's best for your child's health.
This is not general parenting this is not parenting at all this isn't even permissive parenting. This is borderline parentification.
Yes a child has astronomy of their body but that doesn't mean they get to do what they want. It means that its your job to help them understand why the shot is nessiasary
General parenting doesn't say yes it say no because followed by something that's not "i told you so" that is all general parenting is. Stop trying to self this narrative that general parenting is not parenting. Experts have shown that most kids respond better when they know what's going on that is all general parenting dose it keeps the kid in the loop
