I grew up with that line.
That has always been our reality.
They're all in the Epstein files. Including SCOTUS judges. Local politics, school board specifically are one of the most powerful positions in local government. And to go one step further, the superintendent of the school district wields a lot of power within the city. But more than anything, vote. You can register to vote online. You don't even have to leave your house. You can vote by mail. These are our rights as American citizens. If you don't vote this will be our lives for at least two more years. Who am I trying to fool? It will be even worse. If you still have a primary and you're state/district has a Social Democrat candidate, primary the incumbent and vote in the SDA. I'm sure you all are familiar with Abdul El Sayed by now. When I first started following him AIPAC had invested $20 million, they're up to 50 now. They don't want Americans having access to social safety net that they pay for. They want that money to go to Israel.

Instead of telling us to know our district, tell Black Americans who are their representatives in those districts. Louisiana is a red state. Knowing who is there does not mean that they are on our side. So, spend some time educating them on who or what legislations impact them. We see far to often that the ballots lie about what it will accomplish. It will say vote yes if you don't want it and vote no if you do want it. Also, when it comes election time these politicians show up at the churches. Take your cameras into those Black districts and show where they have been gentrified and gerrymandered. Many Black people in the south don't even know what those terms mean. Go to the churches and sit down with the pastors and do a zoom call with the other pastors. Educate our people. Don't forget. The south closed many schools in the south for 5 years. They wanted to keep our people uneducated for a reason.
