I don’t understand the beef at the heart of this “betrayal?”
Is it the idea that the Rachel lady author person perhaps initiated and sustained a relationship with Natalie Portman to secretly low-key spy on her life as a world-famous actress, obtaining the kind of intimate details a layperson/fan would never be privy to, with the intention the whole time being to emerge with a bestselling, award-winning book built around Natalie’s life, and NOT a lifelong sisterhood” friendship?
Weird.
Weirder still that the author apparently solicited permission from Natalie to do this, obtained it 😮 and Natalie was only upset about the parasitic, stalkerish situation after she read the novel that resulted in a culmination of her years-long spying efforts, and found it subpar. 😂
