Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello has confirmed details of his new album, Everyone Gets Everything They Want.
Morello, who is set to release the album on September 25th through Mom + Pop, is joined by a few special guests for the ride, too, including System of a Down’s Serj Tankian, Kneecap, Beartooth, and his son, Roman Morello.
The guitarist has spoken publicly about his love of Kneecap previously, stating in 2025, “I mean, they’re clearly the Rage Against The Machine of now. Like, there’s them and there’s a gap to the next one.”
For Everyone Gets Everything They Want, Morello has also tapped up top-tier producers in the form of Tyler Smyth, Carl Restivo, Zakk Cervini, Dan Carey, and Sam Nelson Harris.
To tease the upcoming record, Morello has shared ‘Date Night’, which tells the story of three Dutch girls who served as spies, saboteurs, and assassins against the Nazis during World War II.
Morello said of the new track, “I make anti-racist songs for anti-racists. I make anti-fascist songs for anti-fascists. And I make anti-Nazi songs for anti-Nazis.”
He powerfully added, “‘Date Night’ is really a ‘which side are you on?’ song. If any of that offends you, do the math. Oh, and Roman Morello wrote the killer riff in this tune.”
It’s been a busy year for Morello so far, having recently come off tour with Bruce Springsteen, which saw the pair take a stand against Donald Trump’s administration each night on the road.
The pair will again join forces later this year for Morello’s Power to the People event in Maryland on October 3rd, which will also feature Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, Joan Baez, Jack Black, Dropkick Murphys, Cypress Hill, Taylor Momsen, Killer Mike, Serj Tankian, Daryl ‘DMC’ McDaniels, Alabama Shakes’ Brittany Howard, The Linda Lindas, and former Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron.
The one-day musical extravaganza, which is billed as “a day of love, peace, justice, and music”, is set to take place at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.
Sadly, Morello recently lost his mother and lifelong social justice campaigner, Mary Morello, aged 102. In her memory, he has launched The Mary Morello Project, which vows to “honor her memory by helping to keep her legacy of compassion, courage and service alive”.
