AnnaSophia Robb didn’t have to enroll in Hogwarts to learn about love spells. Instead, she witnessed its magnetic power while studying at New York University in 2016. That year, the Grosse Pointe Garden Society actor met her now-husband Trevor Paul—who’s an entertainment lawyer—at a coffee shop in Brooklyn, where she playfully teased him about reading a Harry Potterbook. After six years of dating, they got married in October 2022.

AnnaSophia and her husband aren’t the only couple who had a romantic meet-cute. Colman Domingo made fans swoon when he revealed he met his partner, film director Raúl Domingo, on Craigslist in 2005. Days before the two connected online, they briefly locked eyes outside of a Walgreens in California. The couple—who co-produced Colman’s 2022 short film, New Moon, together—got engaged months later, but didn’t officially walk down the aisle until 2014.

Love can sometimes greet you in the most unexpected ways. And for Danielle Brooks, it was over a lighthearted game of interrogation. According to the Orange Is the New Black actor, she met real estate agent Dennis Gelin while hosting a game night at her home a few years ago.
“When all of us heard the door ring, the group decided to play a trick and grill the next person who walked in the door,” Brooks recalled of their interaction to Vogue in 2022. “I opened the door and everyone gave him the death stare. As the host, it felt a bit harsh for someone I didn’t know to get playfully grilled, so I decided to quickly greet him with a smile and asked to take his coat. He smiled back.”
Instantly, she and Gelin added new levels to their love game: The couple had their daughter, 6-year-old Freeya, in 2019 and tied the knot in Miami three years later.

Ed Sheeran has been dancin’ in the dark with his wife, former financial consultant Cherry Seaborn, for more than a decade. The two first met when they were 11-years-old in England; however, their friendship took a romantic turn after they reunited in New York in 2015. Sheeran and Seaborn got married three years later and welcomed their two daughters, 6-year-old Lyra and 4-year-old Jupiter, shortly after.

In 2016, Eric Stonestreet—who played the iconic Modern Family character—met pediatric nurse Lindsay Schweitzer at a charity event in his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri. Tense football games tend to leave fans in utter distress, but not John Cena. The former wrestler met his now-wife Shay Shariatzadeh, an engineer, while watching the 2019 Super Bowl game at a bar in Vancouver. While Cena was originally locked in on the score, he admitted he “stopped watching” once Shariatzadeh sat at the table across from him.
“I asked her for her number,” the Peacemaker alum told Howard Stern in 2024. “I left the restaurant, and on my walk home I [texted], ‘It was so nice to meet you. You’re beautiful. I’d like to get to know you more if you have any free time coming up.’”
The duo agreed on a date night, and this outing blossomed into a cozy wedding in October 2020.

New York’s finest, and now retired, PR executive has found her forever partner. Kim Cattrall, widely known for her role as Samantha Jones in Sex & the City, first met audio engineer Russell Thomas in 2016. The two started dating in 2018 and nearly seven years later, they exchanged marriage vows in London’s Chelsea Old Town Hall.

There’s a new love brewing in Laguna Beach, all thanks to social media. According to The Hills alum Lo Bosworth, she met her husband Dom Natale—who’s a financial investor—after his sisters reached out to her on Instagram in late 2024.
“His family set us up,” Bosworth explained on Northwestern Mutual’s Better Way to Money podcast last June. “We met when we were both 37, and I have always been somebody that wanted to get married and wanted to have a family.”
Luckily, Natale also shared the same vision and the couple embarked on their road to forever. That following summer, they tied the knot in Laguna Beach and announced that they were expecting their first baby.

Matthew Lillard’s bond with wife and real estate agent Heather Lillard is far from a horror film. The Scream actor first met Heather at a golf tournament in the late ‘90s, an interaction that made him believe that “love at first sight” exists.
“She said she was going to Italy for a wedding with a bunch of friends,” he explained in a 1998 interview. “In 10 minutes, I saw her and I decided to go to Italy with her. At the end of the trip, I thought, ‘Oh my God. This is the woman I’m going to marry.’”

He met healthcare worker Taylor Dome in October 2018; four years later, they tied the knot in California. Since then, the couple—who affectionately refer to themselves as The Lautners—have announced they’re expecting their first baby.
