Jennifer Aniston’s Mallorca getaway has coincided with an impressive gathering of superyachts off Sa Foradada, where some of the Mediterranean’s most luxurious vessels have been spotted anchored within sight of the Tramuntana coast.
The Hollywood actress is currently holidaying aboard Rising Sun, alongside her former Friends co-star Courteney Cox and actor Pedro Pascal. The enormous superyacht has already attracted attention during its stay in Mallorcan waters, but it is now part of an even bigger display of luxury off one of the island’s most recognisable landmarks.
Joining Rising Sun in the waters around Sa Foradada are Limitless, Lind and Moka, creating a scene worthy of the nickname “Billionaire Bay”. The concentration of superyachts has transformed the normally picturesque stretch of coastline into a temporary playground for some of the wealthiest visitors sailing through the Balearics this summer.
At 138 metres long, Rising Sun is by far one of the most imposing vessels in the group. The yacht is owned by American billionaire David Geffen and has a long history of hosting famous guests, making the presence of Aniston, Cox and Pascal the latest celebrity chapter in its Mediterranean travels.
Among the most striking vessels alongside Rising Sun is Limitless, a 96-metre superyacht built by German shipyard Lürssen in 1997. The yacht is linked to American billionaire Les Wexner, founder of the retail group that became L Brands and the businessman who built an empire around brands including Victoria’s Secret. Considered groundbreaking when it was launched, Limitless pioneered diesel-electric propulsion for Lürssen and was one of the largest private yachts of its era.
The gathering also includes Lind, a 52.3-metre Amels superyacht delivered in 2010 and extensively refitted in 2019. Designed for long-distance cruising, it has five guest cabins and a range of 4,500 nautical miles. Completing the scene is Moka, a 42-metre Sanlorenzo explorer yacht, whose more adventurous design provides a contrast to the sleek profiles of the larger vessels anchored nearby.
The arrival of the four yachts together provides another striking example of Mallorca’s popularity among the international superyacht set. With the dramatic cliffs of the Tramuntana mountains and Sa Foradada as their backdrop, the vessels have created a floating display of wealth and celebrity just off the island’s coast.
