Third time’s the charm.

Amazon MGM Studios has released the trailer for “The Thomas Crown Affair,” which will debut on March 5, 2027.

The third take on the story of art thief Thomas Crown is the latest directorial effort from Michael B. Jordan, who puts a new spin on the titular billionaire’s heists.

As Crown, Jordan faces off against a former FBI agent (Adria Arjona) hunting him heist by heist. Meanwhile, an insidious supervillain (Kenneth Branagh) lurks, threatening to take Crown down. But Crown’s true motives are to return precious stolen or sold artifacts to their rightful creators.

“I didn’t want a reboot. I wanted a reimagination. The first two films were about rich white guys stealing for fun. That doesn’t land today,” Jordan told Variety in November. “Ours is more personal. The stakes are higher. Still got the fashion, romance.”

The trailer first debuted at CinemaCon in April, with Jordan fresh off his best actor Oscar win for “Sinners.” Jordan received his first Academy nod and victory for Ryan Coogler’s vampire horror film.

Drew Pearce wrote the script for “The Thomas Crown Affair” from a previous draft by Wes Tooke and Justin Britt-Gibson, based on the 1968 original starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo featured in the 1999 remake.

Jordan and Elizabeth Raposo are producing for Outlier Society, with Charles Roven for Atlas Entertainment. Patrick McCormick and Toberoff Productions’ Marc Toberoff are also producing. Alan Trustman, writer of the original film, is executive producing.
